Materials

  • 2-3 empty plastic bottles (16-24 ounces)
  • Acrylic paint (various colors)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scissors or a crafting knife
  • Fishing line or thin string

  • Hot glue gun (with glue sticks)
  • Optional: decorative sequins or glitter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bottles by removing the labels and cleaning them thoroughly.
  2. Cut the bottles into butterfly shapes using scissors or a crafting knife.
  3. Paint the butterfly shapes with acrylic paint, mixing colors or adding glitter as desired.
  4. Attach the hanging string by poking holes in the wings and securing with knots.
  5. Assemble the mobile by attaching the butterflies to the base with a hot glue gun.
  6. Hang the mobile in a chosen display location.

Notes

Consider using bright acrylic colors for enhanced visual appeal and ensure to vary the heights when hanging the butterflies.
